Broadening the range of inline bindery solutions available to production print customers, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, has announced the addition of the Plockmatic Group’s BLM50 and BLM35 Professional Booklet-Makers to the finishing line-up of its imagePRESS C850 Series digital color production presses.
By combining Plockmatic’s modular devices with Canon’s imaging technology, imagePRESS users can now have the ability to produce saddle-stitched, creased, full-bleed, square-fold booklets of up to 200 pages (50 sheets) with the BLM50 and up to 140 pages (35 sheets) with the BLM351. In-line, automatic booklet production via imagePRESS C850/C750 digital color presses configured with the Plockmatic BLM models is supported for coated, uncoated and textured stocks up to 110 pound Cover and for validated media up to 130 pound Cover (350 gsm)2.
For additional flexibility, both booklet-makers can be hand-fed for near-line use, which allows for saddle-stitched, square-fold booklets with front edge trim.
